When The Man Who appeared in 1999, it eclipsed Travis' previous successes, going platinum six times in the U.K., and going on to sell 3.5M copies worldwide, spawning more hit singles such as „Why Does It Always Rain On Me?” and „Writing To Reach You.” This Glastonbury performance became legendary, when, as Travis began to perform their song „Why Does It Always Rain On Me?” (after several hours of sunny weather), it began to rain exactly as the first line of the song was sung.

Records, od Green z roku 1988 až po Reveal z roku 2001, dále dvě nově nahrané písně a jednu píseň z filmového soundtracku. Bad Day bylo napsáno už v roce 1986, v době, kdy byl Bill Berry stále v kapele, ale finální verze byla dokončena až pro album In Time. Animal byla původně napsána pro následující studiové album. Album In Time - The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 bylo také vydáno ve speciální limitované dvoudiskové edici, která obsahuje rarity a B-strany ze stejného období. Jednodisková edice se umístila na prvním místě britského a na osmém místě amerického žebříčku a získala zlatou desku. Dvoudisková edice se umístila na 16. místě amerického a na 37. místě britského žebříčku.

Africa Speaks je nové energií nabité album Santany. Na desce se nachází vokály afro-latinské zpěvačky Buiky a produkce se ujal legendárním producent Rick Rubin. Santana a jeho osmičlenná kapely se sešli v Rubinových Shangri La Studios v Malibu a během desetidenního nahrávání společně vytvořili bezpočet skladeb, z nichž některé jsou dokonce nahrané na jeden souvislý pokus. Skladby jsou inspirovány melodiemi, zvuky a rytmy Afriky.

Esperanza Spalding has announced an audacious new project called '12 Little Spells' that finds Spalding conjuring in the medium of musical creation, through an exploration of the body, human energy and healing. Esperanza released one new spell per day on her website and social platforms as well as a „Liner Notes Live” hosted on Facebook all resulting in over 3.1 million views. The spells come in the form of new music, which was crafted by Spalding at a castle in Italy last month, and then recorded in sessions completed just yesterday in Brooklyn. Each spell will be presented with song-specific imagery and video spells (short films that will accompany each release).
